The lived experience gave her something more valuable. She began her career as the only foreigner in a Taiwanese company of sixty. By twenty-five, she was the Hong Kong Managing Director of an Asia-Pacific-wide organisation. She navigated the intersection of Eastern and Western business cultures in ways no textbook had prepared her for.
She learned about leadership the hard way: by doing it, making mistakes, and paying close attention.
What followed was a life that deliberately resisted a single track. TV production in Germany. A four-year period as a global nomad, working and living out of two suitcases across six countries. Studies in Coaching Psychology at the University of Sydney. More than four decades of personal development work, drawing on disciplines ranging from neuroscience and NLP to somatic practice, Eastern philosophy, and cross-cultural communication.
Some of the most powerful tools she brings into a session are not the ones you’d expect to find in a coaching program. Values elicitation. Belief mapping. The kind of work that reaches beneath the surface. Not to analyse the past, but to shift what’s operating underneath the present. After decades of testing what actually creates lasting change, Angela has stopped apologising for the depth of her approach.
Through it all, the business years, the TV years, the nomad years, the coaching years, the same question kept driving her forward: what does it actually take for a person to change? Not just understand something new, but genuinely shift the patterns that hold them back?
The answer, distilled from decades of research and direct practice with thousands of individuals and organisations, became the foundation of Emotional Productivity®: eleven human competencies that Angela identified as the most powerful levers for how we communicate, connect, and build culture.
She has lived in nine countries, physically worked in 17, travelled in more than 50, and, so far, has coached clients from 38 countries. She speaks several languages, some better than others. Curiosity is her middle name, and she is still learning.
